After a fairly good start to the 2010 season, there was not much good to report after that.
We had some issues with part failure on several engines that kept everything from really getting going as well as sat us out
for about a month of racing. We did manage to pick up the Hamilton county fair special for $1000 payday.
We sold or car with about 3 weeks left in the season, and built a brand new 2011 Victory to finish out the year with. After a
week of finding the right combination for the new car we started running very well, until once again, we had to sit with
engine trouble.
We were looking at sitting out of the IMCA Supernationals when we got a “loaner” engine and we made the best of it by
qualifying for the main event and running very well all week long.
Unfortunately the Supernationals were the end of the season for us with no engine to run any season ending specials. We
are hoping with some help, to start the 2011 season with a brand new engine and a rebuilt one as a spare, and hopefully
pick up where we left off. We are keeping the same car (as it only has about 6 nights on it) and it is just getting to where I
like it, so I am really excited to get back to racing.
With another cold Iowa winter lingering on, I am trying to keep myself busy and focus on the upcoming season, as well as
help plan my wedding, which is coming up this fall. As cold and snowy as it looks out, it won’t be long before we are loading
up the trailer and going to our first race… And I can’t wait!
See you at the races,
