It has been a long winter and a very busy spring so far but we are finally able to do some racing in 2010. I started a new job
at JR Motorsports in Boone in January, which has been both exciting and very busy.

We sold our 2010 Harris car and built a new Victory chassis for this season. It is a very well built car and so far has been
extremely fast as we are off to a better start this season than last.

We got off to a fast but unlucky start at the Boone Frostbuster on our “maiden voyage” of the new Victory chassis. On the
first couple laps in the feature I got tangled up and stopped under yellow, sending me to the tail of the field, 24th. I worked
my way up to 3rd with a few laps left and got spun out with the leaders in sight. Not how I wanted to end the night, but the
car was one of the fastest on the track and we still had room to improve it.

The next week at the Marshalltown opener I had something come loose just before halfway in the feature and I had to pull
in. 0 for 2 so far… Then we went back to Boone for their opener and got tagged on the start and shot my car off of turn 4
before the green flag flew, ending my night very early. Marshalltown was the next race on the schedule and this week I
finally got some luck and had the car going fairly well. I started on the front row and lead the first half of the race when I saw
a nose peek under me for a few laps so I started easing my way down to find a better spot to run when that same car
“Ritchie Gustin” passed me in the lane I was racing in and I ended up following him and coming home in 2nd. First finish for
the year and I will take it. The next night we went back to Boone and started on the pole and got our first win of the season!

The car is starting to get more and more comfortable and we should continue to get faster. After raining out at Marshalltown
we got the races in at Boone and this week I started in the 3rd row and on a very fast sticky track I got up to 2nd and had a
very good car.

So after a rough start, we have finished only 3 features, but haven’t finished out of the top 2 in any of them, so I am
encouraged with this new car and hopefully we can keep this streak going as long as possible.
