Thanks for visiting my 2007 season Late Model Chassis Build-Up Page.
This page is dedicated to giving you a feel of what takes place in the off-season, if you're a car owner or
driver and getting a new car ready to hit the track.
I plan to keep this page updated weekly so you can see the progress on the new Rocket Late Model we'll
be racing with in 2007.
The new chassis just got back from Premier Powder Coating in Boone. Special thanks to Premier's Joe
McBirnie for doing such a great job on it. Here are some pictures - and plan to check back soon to monitor
our progress on the car.
It should be a fun project and I look forward to keeping you all informed. And if you'd like to listen to my
recent webcast on DirtTrackRadio.com, just click on the link below:

Thanks For Taking The Time To Follow Me Through The Process. It Was A Lot Of Work - But A Lot Of Fun. See You At The Races!

The past few weeks have been very busy for me, with trade shows in Dallas and Des Moines, and finding
time to do a little Christmas shopping.
I also had a little time to get some work done on my Late Model for next year. I have gotten all of the
interior and decks built and installed. Also I stripped down the other car I have and cleaned up the parts so
now I can start plumbing the brakes and bolting the suspension together on the new car. After most of the
suspension is under the car I can go ahead and build & mount the body, and get some pictures up that
actually look like a car.
In the mean time, I have posted some pictures of my progress thus far.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,
Adam
Looks like I still have a little bit of work to do yet, huh...LOL!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and a safe & Happy New Year!
In the past few weeks I have been able to get some more work done on my Late Model. Some of
the new parts have been trickling in and things are starting to come together. It is starting to
actually look like a racecar too which helps with my motivation.
The engine is being built later this month by Kent Davenport of JR Motorsports.
My parents are taking my brother and I to Hawaii at the end of the month for 8 days so my goal is
to have the car all done less the engine by the time I leave and then when we get back I can
finish it up and hopefully head to Texas for a weekend to do some practice and get a little more
familiar with the new car.
Our good friend Bo Rawdon is going to help us out with a facility and track prep at the Cowtown
Speedway in Kennedale Texas.
Everything is just falling together on this car thanks to some excellent products from Wilwood,
Rocket, Fast Shafts, Rod End Supply, and many more.
Here are some new pictures of what the car looks like now and check back occasionally for some
more updates.
Thank you,
Adam Larson

This terribly cold weather we've had here in Iowa makes it hard to get motivated to work on a
racecar, but I have been plugging away on mine.
I spent a week in Hawaii just relaxing and enjoying some 80 degree weather, and it was quite a
shock to my system once I stepped off the plane in Des Moines to a blustery 4 degrees.
A week of fun usually means a stack full of work when I get back and this time it was no different.
We are extremely busy at work and I have a lot of work left before my late model can hit the
track. My engine is being assembled this week by Kent Davenport of JR Motorsports, and will be
ready for the dyno next week. I have been picking away at the body on the car and I hope to
have most of it done by next week, and then it is just a few items to button up and I will be ready
to take it south for some seat time.
I have included some pictures of the progress on the car and a some pictures from my vacation
on the "just 4 fun" page.
Enjoy!
Adam

This winter project of mine is finally starting to look like a racecar.
I have been working about every night on the body and finishing up some loose ends, and I
can finally say that the body is 100% done. It was all new to me since I had never put a body on
a car before and I had never worked on a late model before, so it was a learning experience
that I'm sure will pay off in the future.
Bob Harris helped Dyno my shocks last week and I have got them installed on the car. Bob was
a big help and I learned a ton about why you should always dyno your shocks before bolting
them onto the car. Bob's dyno is located in Ames at Boyer's Engine Development shop, and he
can service and check just about any shock on the market today, I will post more information
when it is available to me.
My good friends Pat Graham and Kent Davenport of JR Motorsports are planning to put my
engine on their Dyno in their Boone IA store this week and then I can put the finishing touches
on the car.
Danz Designs is working on the decals, so as soon as I have them on I will get some more
updated pictures and hopefully get my tee shirts coming for the season.
With all of the snow in the last couple weeks it is looking pretty grim for the Deery Bros event
in Webster City on April 7th, but I am planning to be ready to go for that, then the season
opener at Des Moines on April 27th.
I'm sure there will be some practices that I will try to attend as well as maybe shaking the car
down during weekly shows in the weeks prior to the late model openers.
I would also like to welcome a couple new sponsors on board for this season, The Lake Shore
Cafe (located on Don Williams lake in Ogden, IA) and Downtown Diner (located downtown
Boone, IA)
Thanks to everyone for checking up with me, and I am getting real anxious to see all of the
fans and drivers at the track.
Only one month away!
Adam

It's finally done! Other than a few more sponsor logos (Larson Racing, Clouser Plumbing,
2larson.com), that are coming from Danz Designs, our new Rocket Chassis by Larson Racing
is set to hit the track!
The first couple of pictures are of Kent Davenport with my engine on the dyno. And following
that are my new car pics. And if you didn't know, Kent's wife, Kelly, has been my dad's
Controller at Wayne Larson Collision Specialists for over 20 years.
And here are some pictures taken at Webster City practice in mid-April. We'll post more after
this coming weekend's events.
2007 Pictures (and the 2007 Build Up story/pics are below as well)
Many of the track action shots shown here are from Roger Vansickel, email him to purchase at rogervs@netins.net
