Latest News From Adam:

The past couple of weeks have been full of bad luck. Sometimes it goes that way and you have to
work through it.

On Friday the14th after winning the week before at the Marshalltown Speedway, I was poised and
confident to repeat with another feature win. I transferred through my heat, which lined me up on the
third row outside for the feature. My engine was running a lot better this week so my car took right
off and I was able to work my way to the lead by lap 5 and had just began to start to pull away and
coming out of turn 4 at about half way my u-joint broke and it launched my drive shaft up inside the
car and ended my night. I had a really good line and the car was working wherever I put it so I was
happy about that but at the same time disappointed I couldn’t get my 2nd win of the year.

The next night we made the trek to the Shelby County Speedway to see if I could improve on last
weeks 3rd place run. Once again I transferred through my heat and this time they started me in the
6th row for the feature with some pretty tough customers ahead of me. At the drop of the green I
started working the high line and passed a bunch of cars in the first few laps, then I sliced high and
low and worked my way to 3rd just after halfway. By this time the top of the track had slowed down
almost in an instant and the bottom got faster, so I dropped down to the bottom not before 2 cars
snuck by and I ran door to door with the 4th place car for the rest of the race on an eventually one
lane race track to finish 5th. Not what I was looking for but at least the car was in one piece this time.

Next race was the Harris Clash at the Knoxville Raceway. I have never had good luck at that race and
this year backed it up. Starting 2nd row in the heat right behind 3 of the toughest cars signed in for
the night, I started battling for 3rd at the drop of the green. On lap 2 the 3rd place car jumped the
cushion on the extremely fast and on edge track and slowed dramatically and I had nowhere to go, so
I hit very hard on the right side of the car. After accessing the situation I decided to park the car for
the rest of the night rather than thrash on the car and tag the back of a B main on a hard to pass
racetrack.

After getting the car back in shape the next day we headed to Marshalltown again where I got tangled
up on the last lap of the heat and sent me spinning, which lined me up on the tail for the feature. It
was one of those tracks where you had to race as hard as you possibly can just to make up 2 feet on
the track. I passed a handful of cars and on the last lap the transmission in the car broke ending my
night a half of a lap from the end.

With parts hard to find and time running short I decided to take the rest of the weekend off and enjoy
9 holes of golf and a night out on the town. This week I will be heading back to Webster City on
Thursday night for the first time since I took that hard crash on the backstretch. Hopefully my luck is
better this time!!!
