I am really behind on keeping my website updated but for good reason, I started a new business selling
ATV’s, Dirt bikes, Go Karts, and Scooters called Street and Off Road. You can visit us online at
StreetOffRoad.com.

The store is located on East Lincoln Way in Ames and we have been extremely busy getting that set up
and off the ground. Plus, we're opening up a second location in Des Moines on August 1st, at 2800 E.
University Avenue - which is one block west of the Iowa State Fairgrounds.

That doesn’t mean I haven’t made time to do a little racing here and there though. I had a string of
average finishes in June with a couple top 5’s and only one more DNF, so as far as points go, I have
been staying around 5th to 7th at both tracks and have managed to add to my National Rookie of the Year
point lead. The last two weeks though we have found some traction and I have settled in to driving the
car better, especially on the slick track surfaces we have had.

At the Fairgrounds on July 6th the track was severely slick and I love it when it gets that way so I was
really relaxed and excited for the feature. I started on the 2nd row outside and found my way to the lead
early on and cruised to my second win on the season and my first at the Iowa State Fair Speedway.

The next night at Webster City I the track was a little tackier and I started 4th row outside and got into
third early on. As the race wore on, the line I was running around the very top of the track started to slow
down but I was able to salvage a 5th place finish, My friend Todd Cooney finally got his first win at
Webster City.

The next week at the Fairgrounds, I started 3rd row outside for the feature and quickly worked my way to
second place but about ¾ of a straightaway behind my friend (and second place behind me in the
National IMCA Rookie of the Year Points) T.J. Criss. I used my advantage of learning more about the track
having to work traffic, and was able to run T.J. down, but once he heard me he picked up the pace and
he went on to win his first career IMCA Late Model feature, I settled for 2nd.

The next night at Webster City, I won my heat and started outside the 3rd row for the feature. After
learning some things the night before, we had the car really stuck to the semi-slick surface and I quickly
found my way to the lead again. I settled in and kept pushing the car past my comfort zone and was able
to win my 3rd feature of the season by a straightaway.

I am really starting to hit my stride with this Late Model, and the season is almost over, so hopefully I can
finish the year well and take home that IMCA rookie of the year award at the banquet.
