Latest News From Adam:
Some seasons start with a bang, and unfortunately this season is one of them. In just the first two
weeks of the racing season, I have managed to complete only about 25 laps of competition in 4 nights
of racing, and blow two engines.
In the first night out at the Iowa State Fair Speedway fans saw a large fireball coming out of the side
of the 2L car as my engine let go on the third lap of the heat race, and with no spare in the trailer we
were reduced to watching the rest of the action from the sidelines.
The next night at the Hamilton County Speedway, the storm clouds rolled in after a second place run
in my heat race. As we lined up for the feature, the rain lined up over the Speedway and rained out
the races.
In week two at the Iowa State Fair Speedway I actually finished my heat race this time in second,
which lined me up on the pole for the feature. After leading the first three laps, I hooked a rut in turn
three which shuffled me up into the wall and as a result, flat right front tire, done for the night early,
again.
Week two at the Hamilton County Speedway saw double features for the modifieds, which was great
for me because I needed the laps to get back into the swing of things since I got a late start on the
season. Well, this night was not to be either, with engine two expiring on lap 5 of the first makeup
feature, so it was the sidelines again for the 2L racing team, this time for an entire night of racing
action.
Things don't look good for this weekend as far as racing goes, with a 100% chance for rain all
weekend. But it will allow me and the crew some extra time to button up a few loose ends on the
truck & trailer and hopefully we will be extra ready for racing next weekend. I guess if we get all of
the bad luck out of the way early in the season, the rest of the season will hopefully be filled with
checkered flags & trophies!!!
Thanks for visiting my website and check back from time to time for updated pictures and results
from the 2L racing team. See you at the track.
Cheers!
