Adam's News Digest - The Latest Team News From Adam Larson Racing

Once again we are to that point in the year in Iowa where I wish I didn’t live here. We have been covered
in snow for, what seems like forever. I’ve made some changes to my racing program for the 2009 season
and I am getting anxious for it to get started. I made some improvements to my race shop and made it a
lot more spacious and organized so that when we start working on cars again, it will be more enjoyable
and productive.
I was approached by an individual last fall and was asked if I would be interested in driving a modified for
him. I love racing my Late Model, but there are limited tracks and events I can enter, and unfortunately
the only place that I can race on Fridays with a Late Model is Des Moines, and I rarely enjoyed racing on
that track. So after discussing the program he wants to run, I decided that it would be a better choice for
me to drive for him. I sold my Late Model complete and he has ordered a new Modified from Harris Auto
Racing. Also he has a brand new S&S Trailer and is all set up to go racing. The parts are all sitting in the
shop and the chassis with body installed will be done within a week.
Our first race I would like to go to will be the Feb Fast 50 at Cowtown Speedway in Kennedale Texas. That
only gives us about 10 – 12 days to get the car put together which will be a large task but you have to
have a goal. After that I would like to run a few more races in Texas and Nebraska before the Frostbuster
races start around here in April. We will be running weekly at the Marshalltown Speedway and bouncing
around a little on Saturday nights to various tracks as well as maybe making a few trips to the Buena
Vista Speedway in Alta on Wednesday nights.
I hope that the aggressiveness that I learned racing with the likes of Todd Cooney and Darrell De France
every week will translate into great results in the Modified class this season.
It should be a fun season and I hope that I can continue to meet more great people along the way in our
racing travels.
